Boschendal Wines

BOSCHENDAL Manumission

This Cabernet-led blend of four carefully selected, hand-picked varietals, reflects Boschendal’s rich heritage of over 300 years. Angela van Bengale, a Malay slave, was given land as part of her early manumission (the act of freeing a slave), which today forms part of the magnificent Boschendal property. As multifaceted and rich as the history of the land, this voluptuous blend – Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot – exudes dark berry pastille and plumb aromas, layered with Winter spices, roast cocoa bean complexity leading to a textured, concentrated finish.
