This April, we celebrated a successful harvest season with a showcase of our famous Demi Sec at the annual Johannesburg Cap Classique and Champagne Festival. The beautiful Polo Club at Inanda served as the venue for the weekend’s festivities, inviting guests to relax and sample a premium selection of Méthode Cap Classiques and Champagnes. We were delighted to welcome the winners of our Instagram competition to the occasion, all of whom proved to be some of the most fervent Boschendal enthusiasts at the event.
“What better way to end a successful harvest and welcome a new season than with celebrations at one of the city’s premier calendar highlights? All this while enjoying the gorgeous Boschendal Demi Sec in these scenic surrounds,” said one of our guests. “It’s been my favourite Cap Classique for a while now. It’s such a well-balanced and versatile wine. Not to mention it complements my sweet-tooth beautifully, pairing with almost any dessert.”
The festival highlights some of South Africa’s best produce through exquisite pairings to the wines. Our team of chefs treated guests to platters of hard cheeses at midday, followed by an assortment of desserts at sunset. The selection beautifully complemented the accents of crème brulee, almond biscotti and lemon cream in the blend, leaving the palate vibrant with freshness and length.
