Easter means chocolate and egg hunts. It means delicious food with your loved ones and a celebration of life and all the good things. It’s a perfect time to gather the family and have some fun together.
This year, Boschendal has created an array of Easter experiences, designed to entertain and indulge all ages.
On Friday, 14 April and Sunday, 16 April 2017, the little ones can have a ride on one of our friendly ponies, take part in an Easter egg hunt in the tranquil grounds of the Werf, or do a spot of egg-painting. Rest assured, they will be kept busy, safe and entertained! For the older members of the family, should you feel like an al fresco afternoon under the oak trees, book a delicious Werf Picnic to be savoured with a bottle or two of lovely Boschendal wine. Picnics will begin from 12h00, with the egg hunt starting at 12h30. R395 for a basket for two adults to share, or R210 for a basket for one, and R150 per child (3–12 years old). The children’s rate includes the Easter egg hunt and pony rides. We invite our guests to bring their own fold-up chairs, table and blanket.
On Friday, 14 April and Sunday, 16 April 2017, we also offer a three-course menu at the Werf Restaurant, where our Executive Chef Christiaan Campbell will delight you with his exceptional plated and shared dishes — produced entirely from the tastiest, fresh, farm ingredients. The Werf Restaurant requires advanced booking, and seating starts at 19h30 on Friday, 14 April and 12h00 on Sunday, 16 April 2017. The meal includes a farm-style starter, a delicious main and a dessert at R495 per person.
Throughout the Easter weekend, Friday, 14 April – Monday, 17 April 2017, Rhone Homestead will be serving an Easter-themed traditional buffet from 12h00, at R295 per person, so you can indulge in favourite Easter treats before taking a wander through our magical grounds.
While you are there, pop into the Farmshop & Deli for some freshly baked hot cross buns, wonderful farm treats and more Easter gifts to enjoy at home.
